We are the World

Michael Jackson - We're The World (USA For Africa) Lyrics
There comes a time when we heed a certain call
When the world must come together as one
There are people dying
and its time to lend a hand to life
There greatest gift of all

We cant go on pretending day by day
That someone, somewhere will soon make a change
We are all a part of Gods great big family
And the truth, you know,
Love is all we need

[Chorus:]
We are the world, we are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So lets start giving
Theres a choice we're making
We're saving out own lives
its true we'll make a better day
Just you and me

Send them your heart so they'll know that someone cares
And their lives will be stronger and free
As God has shown us by turning stones to brend
So we all must lend a helping hand

[Chorus:]
We are the world, we are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So lets start giving
Theres a choice we're making
We're saving out own lives
its true we'll make a better day
Just you and me

When you're down and out, there seems no hope at all
But if you just believe theres no way we can fall
Let us realize that a change can only come
When we stand together as one

[Chorus:]
We are the world, we are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So lets start giving
Theres a choice we're making
We're saving out own lives
its true we'll make a better day
Just you and me

This song really touched me. I was listening to it and I was resisting the temptation to cry as it was so emotionary overwhelming. Find the song somewhere on the net and I am sure you would agree with me

HELP!!! GOT LOCKED OUT!!!

OK guys. It started like this. I woke up today in the boarding house, and look at my clock. Hmm.... I am late - 9.30. So I rushed out to get my breakfast (Sunday breakfast was still on) and when I reached it... alas, no more breakfast for me. However, when I was returning to the boarding house, all the doors were locked. GOD!!! I began going round and round the boarding house, hoping to find an opened door. No such luck. Finally, an hour later, someone appeared and I fratically waved to him. Luckily he allowed me in and I went back to my room and guess what? My clock wasn't working and my watch showed the time of 6:12. Minus an hour plus plus from it and I woke up at 5. Hmm... you can't really tell the diffrence here because it gets early sooo early (about 5). *Sigh* Tough luck. Oh. And I installed firefox by the way, but e-messenger STILL isn't working. HELP!!!

I am JAPANESE FOOD???

You Are Japanese Food

Strange yet delicious.
Contrary to popular belief, you're not always eaten raw.

Had fun doing these "surveys"

Hmm...

You Should Get a JD (Juris Doctor)

You're logical, driven, and ruthless.

You'd make a mighty fine lawyer.

A career as a lawyer? Maybe not... The only career I really though of was a doctor

More About My School And My Day

OK. I went around the school taking photos today. See what I got:

This is the logo where visitors are greeted with the big sign KEYS HOUSE)

This is the door of my room. I am currently not sharing with anyone so it only says VICTOR CHING while the other space is left blank

This is the Medical House where students do if they are sick.

This funny incident happened in the Physics classroom today. We were connecting up circuits, and someone's circuit wasn't connected properly. It became shining and the second I took this photo it exploded. Some fine equipment destryoed.

This is the Boarding House where all the boarders stay. The quality of boarding is very good.

This is refered as the 100 acre backyard that we have. See the trees in the distance, OK, take about half of what you see now and put it behind those trees. Now. All of that belongs to us. Apparently it was sold to us at a dollar an acre becuase the governemnt was encouraging school to be built.

This sign is in our school telling senior students not to drive above 5 KMPH. Most Ozzie drivers actually adhere to the rules.

Its march out tommorrow, it means that we will be sending the YR 12s that have completed the education here. Bye for now.

My Scrabble equipment all in one pile. I was playing scrabble before I took this picture so I figuired out that it would be a good idea to blog this to you guys. (In no particular order) My chess clock, Delux Set, Scrabble orginal set, custom rack, clipboard, pen that I always use, and marker for tile tracking. I dunno whether it will be a good idea to bring my chess clock back to Malaysia as the customs would suspect that it is a bomb through X-Ray scanning. I'll think about it.

OK. I took this picture of my desk 15 seconds beforeI uploaded it into this blog. OK... its a bit messy but boleh tahan lah...

Thats all for today... watch out for more updates tommorrow

YES!!!!!

YAY!!! YES!!!!! WOOOO HOOOOO!!! THERE IS FINALLY A SCRABBLE TOURNAMENT IN MALAYSIA THAT ISN'T A MINI THAT I AM GOING TO TAKE PART IN!!!! THE BERJAYA TIMES SQUARE OPEN!!!! AND IT IS DURING THE HOLIDAYS!!!!

Damned Scrabble Words

Phew... Finally finished making my one thousand palmcards. Starting on my first thousand 7 letter words. I still have decided whether studying using anamonics or studying top probability words are better. Anamonics stick in my mind better, but top probability saves time and trouble. Sigh. Wish there was a better way to study words. Sigh... Back to work now.

Goodbye England's Love

Goodbye England's Rose - Elton John

Goodbye England's rose
May you ever grow in our hearts
You were the grace that placed itself
Where lives were torn apart
You called out to our country
And you whispered to those in pain
Now you belong to heaven
And the stars spell out your name

And it seems to me you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind
Never fading with the sunset
When the rain set in
And your footsteps will always fall here
Along England's greenest hills
Your candle's burned out long before
Your legend ever will

Magnificent Lyrics eh? Reminds me of my PS Jon's speech on immortals in VI ( ask him - jonathan siao).

Yes!!!

Yes!!!Yes!!!Yes!!!Yes!!!Yes!!!

My first ever triple triple!!! troOpers through the latter r!! 164 points!! Yes Yes!!!

Guesse what? The similar game produced another triple triple for me!!! How lucky can you get? acetoNes!! My second for 152 points!!!

Ending score: 542-216. Bad luck Nick. Almost nearing my all time high: 560 during La Salle mini.

Scrabble Rants

Hmm.... Finally set my Scrabble Goal For Life. To qualify for the World Scrabble Championship in 4 to 6 years time. OK. What am I doing to make this come true? Making palm cards for the top 1000 7 letter words. Studying anamonics. Finishing 3 letter words. Starting on 5 letter words as suggested by Andrew Fisher and David Webb. Now. It seems very unlikely that I will make it. However, hopefully there will be 5 places for Malaysia by then. Go Henry!!! Bring back another spot for Malaysia.

Next Scrabble Goal. To organize a Victoria Institution Open Scrabble next year. Technically, I have denounced my Victorian badge and picked up a Scotch College badge. However, hopefully cmin can be east to be manipulated...... Muahahahahahaha

Have to go now. Once again, Go Henry and Go Ganesh!!! :)
